Spectrum Prism

Parallel to the weather in this endless city,
Torrential showers, we're suddenly pouring,
We can't hear ourselves, we're screaming,
We can't see ourselves, we're seperating,
We can't feel ourselves, we're evaporating,
Like frozen statues, awaiting dismay,
Watching cerulean skies fade to gray

Pregnant clouds are bursting,
My tears are overflowing,
The thunder is roaring,
Your voice is piercing,

I tried radiating like the sun,
But you were the coldest of all days,
Behind the thick darkened curtains,
You can't feel my warmth,
You can't see me burning,
You can't see me setting

For you, I will never shine again,
Never shine again, for you know I can't

Pregnant clouds are bursting,
My tears are overflowing,
The thunder is roaring,
Your voice is piercing,

And now that you're vanishing,
The gray clouds are fading,
These streets are safe for walking,
The stillness of this city speaks,
This is when I'll be rising

But a part of me will be missing,
Without you I could never make,
The most beautiful spectrum,
By shining through your prism,
In this city's cerulean skies.

You are my ROY G. BIV.

Yours truly,
Poison Ivy
